Sandwiches My Kids Are Still Tolerating This SUmmer
OFF THE CLOCK: Happy Friday! It’s almost the weekend, so let’s NOT talk about work, okay?
I don't have any groundbreaking lunch ideas. At this point in the summer, I’m just trying to keep my people fed without them whining about it.
Anyway, we’re doing sandwiches on a constant rotation for camping, ballparks, and lunches on the go, but I realized by accident that changing up the bread kinda tricks everyone into thinking we’re having something different. Riding this wave until someone notices.
Here’s what’s working:
Ham and cheese on Hawaiian rolls
Turkey on sourdough
Grinders on Jimmy John's day-old bread (loaves are like, 50 cents!)
Peanut Sunbutter and jelly on cheap wheat bread
Cheese quesadillas because my kids won't eat grilled cheese.
