Design Manifesto:

Great Design for All

Great design should be accessible for every budget + season of business. Multi-million dollar industries and starving artists deserve to communicate their values + services in a beautiful way.

Everything Meaningful Will Last

Forget the metrics + money for just a second. Everything you do in love, hoping to provide value, aiming to serve your customer and make the world a better place - all of it will last. Let what’s truly meaningful shape your perspective on business + design.

Sustainable Design

Brands should be sustainable with your everyday personnel. You should not have to call a design professional every time you want to update your business hours on your website or post a new square on Instagram.

Similarly, brands should be sustainable in beauty. Keeping your vibe + aesthetic shouldn’t depend on a designer’s micromanagement. Be equipped to keep your brand beautiful on your own.

The things I mentioned above mean brands can stay sustainable in budget. Pay a professional designer for the big stuff, save money on the everyday stuff.

Power to the People

Micromanaging < Equipping. I’m here to help you with the big design stuff, but to give you the tools to handle the everyday things. You should feel equipped + empowered to make your brand your own. I’m here to cheer you on.

Why Not You?

If everyone else in the world (and the Internet) gets to share their opinions + perspective on life, YOU DO TOO. You are uniquely gifted + called, and I want to hear from you. You have something the rest of us need. Please share.

“To all the secret writers, late-night painters, would-be singers, lapsed and scared artists of every stripe, dig out your paintbrush, or your flute, or your dancing shoes. Pull out your camera or your computer or your pottery wheel. Today, tonight, after the kids are in bed or when your homework is done, or instead of one more video game or magazine, create something, anything.

Pick up a needle and thread, and stitch together something particular and honest and beautiful, because we need it. I need it.

Thank you, and keep going.” (Shauna Niequist)

You Decide the Metrics

Don’t let Meta tell you how to run your businesses. Followers, likes, engagements definitely mean something, but at the end of the day, you need to cultivate a life you love. You set the goals. You say what matters. You stay in the driver’s seat.

Steward What We’re Given

Whether we have a million dollars + a million followers or ten of each, we recognize what we’ve been given charge over and steward it with intention, trusting in a God of Abundance.

Try + Fail > Fail to Try

Start today! Try something new! Take a risk! Better to mess it up and gain some clarity. Trust the process, find joy in the journey. We tweak, we adjust, we learn as we go.

Put Your Heart Into It

We put ourselves out there, we choose to be vulnerable, we take it too far and put our hearts on the line. Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose. ;)
